We are saddened to announce that due to the current worldwide concerns regarding COVID-19, Debbie Millman has cancelled her trip to Australia for this event. Refunds are currently being issued. Thank you for your support.

Debbie has created a one-day workshop to help you explore the art of story telling through a unique combination of images and words. You’ll investigate the ability stories have to honour the diversity of our human experience.

In the workshop, you’ll do the following:

  • Work to define and refine the basic narrative structure of a story

  • Plot the visual arc of a story

  • Create the visual language of the story

This workshop will result in the creation of a visual story for each participant.

Requirements of participants:

You should come to the workshop with a story or essay of approximately 500-900 words that reflects your life experience. It can be written by you or someone else but you must relate to it. Materials will be provided, however please feel free to bring along your favourite creative materials like paint, pencils and paper.
